Market Shepherd orchestrates checkout by calling the payments hub for charges and tax, the logistics hub for rates and packing, and delivery plugins for digital and license fulfillment. Install a new plugin and its delivery types, settings, and product fields appear in the same admin automatically.

Totals are recalculated on the server, stock is validated against per-SKU backorder rules, and every order stores an immutable snapshot of the cart at charge time. The browser is never the source of truth.
